New and Improved Cordonator™ Catching On

Cordonator™ is a foldable traffic channelizer available from Cogent Enterprises of Sterling Heights, Michigan. It has been modified slightly to meet requests of the trade. The ball / detent system has been beefed-up for more positive holding in the open position. The feet have also been modified so our base ballast or retainer rings provide better separation from the device upon impact and worker tear down.

Cordonator meets NCHRP-350 crash test requirements with light attached and conforms to MUTCD under Section 6F-5i "other channelizing devices." Cordonator also outperformed drums in a reflectivity test. Cordonator folds flat to 4.5" thick, even with lantern attached. This means shipping, handling and storage cost are dramatically reduced. They are ideal for quick deployment in emergency situations. A driver can load 40 to 50 in a pickup truck and cordon off a complete area in minutes. Two piece assembly makes for longer life cycle advantage and extended reflective sheeting life.

The following states have approved the Cordonator: Arizona, California, Idaho, Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Tennessee, Wyoming. Others are in the evaluation process.
